Why the heck do all the comments on a post suddenly disappear after a set period of time? I was trying to go back through the Encyclopedia Hoonatica but all of the user comments that make up the bulk of the reading material had been either hidden or deleted...is there something I’m missing? I’m even signed into Disqus...could it be that Disqus is even worse than Kinja?
See, when I first load all the comments are there but in a different font...
But when the page is fully loaded it just shows this...

Old comments are only available to view by members of the illuminati, clearly you are not one.

Could be a browser add on.
One of my add ons blocks twitter posts. So when gawker posts a tweet from someone in a story it blocks it and all I see is the outline and icons.
